What happened here? Seriously - how could these Sweetgreen shortfalls have been any worse? It’s like they closed all of their stores for a full week and plan on doing the same in 3Q and 4Q.
One hypothesis beyond Sweetgreen being a dining fad: are GLP-1s reducing the incentive to seek out healthy, low carb food? If your overall appetite is lower and you’re losing weight, maybe you’re less likely to exercise discipline when you do eat.
Oh and people really liked the fries they’re discontinuing.
